What are your thoughts on the gentle leader?

I have a Norwegian elkhound which is also a Nordic dog. It is in thei nature to pull. My dog is almost 4 and he still pulls. We tried everything! The pronged collar, a choker collar, a harness. And the gentle leader. It worked forthe first few weeks but then when he figured out to pull with it on it was back to squre one. Now we use a regular collar and stick to caesar Millans method on being calm and ertive. If he pulls stop walking and five him a slight tug. Dont start walking again until he is completely stopped. It took weeks for my dog to get it and he is dealt smart. He is so smart that he knows what we want him to do he just doesn't want to do it. Be patient and don't give up. You have to show your do that you are the leAder. Don't show him you're angry and especially don't yell. It's all about being calm yet firm and ertive. It takes time for you and your dog to get used to it. Good luck!!
