How does Napoleon change throughout Animal Farm by George Orwell?

Of course! At first, Napoleon sees himself as an equal and wants the best for all farm animals. As the book progresses, Napoleon realizes that his power and wits enable him to take advantage of his animal companions. Throughout the novella, he becomes more and more "human" (something he said he'd never do) and more and more selfish.
