What does a CT Scan show that an MRI can't?

I am on an HSA plan so I have to pay $3000 out of my pocket before my insurance pays anything. With this said, my dr at Kaiser ordered a CT Scan to see what the mes in my liver were. They ended up being common hemangiomas, but he says I may have gallstones blocking my duct and need to do an MRI to know for sure. Couldn't an MRI have found out the same thing as the CT scan with regards to the liver mes? Couldn't I have just paid for the MRI and not had the CT scan done?

You team is pretty good as it is and I actually wouldn't drop Orton just yet. They haven't determined whether he will be out for just a few weeks or if he will be out for the season. Orton is a stron QB, especsially in a 16 team league. If you drop him, somebody may pick him up. However, if they do determine that he will be out for the season, then drop him and the best choice would be either Thigpen or Ryan Fitzpatrick. Dan Orlovsky is probably the best QB out of all of them but the Lioms just signed Culpepper and I'm thinking they will use him as the starter. As for your RB problem, drop Sproles and pick up Charles. Darren Sproles has to comepte with L. T. for carries but since Jarry Johnson is suspended as of time being and their starter Smith is injured, Charles should get some unrivaled carries for the Chiefs. I'm up now getting ready for college cles and when I got home yesterday all I could do was sleep and somehow try to recover from the weekend. It was so not the best weekend I've ever spent. Looks pretty solid for a 12 team league. I would have prefered someone other than Sanchez as the backup QB. He should be serviceable, but he's a better NFL QB than fantasy QB for now. It will be interesting to see how Forte works out this year. He was ignored as a receiver after a stellar year the first year out of the backfield. But then Taylor is there to and he's a good receiver as well. Martz should find a way to get them the ball more than last year. Williams, Jones, and tomlinson are all aging, but you seem to have very solid depth at least. Good depth at WR as well, especially when Holmes is ready to play. You'll need Schaub to stay healthy and he should have another excellent season.Too bad it's a mock; this would have been a decent team to play.

I have a Norwegian elkhound which is also a Nordic dog. It is in thei nature to pull. My dog is almost 4 and he still pulls. We tried everything! The pronged collar, a choker collar, a harness. And the gentle leader. It worked forthe first few weeks but then when he figured out to pull with it on it was back to squre one. Now we use a regular collar and stick to caesar Millans method on being calm and ertive. If he pulls stop walking and five him a slight tug. Dont start walking again until he is completely stopped. It took weeks for my dog to get it and he is dealt smart. He is so smart that he knows what we want him to do he just doesn't want to do it. Be patient and don't give up. You have to show your do that you are the leAder. Don't show him you're angry and especially don't yell. It's all about being calm yet firm and ertive. It takes time for you and your dog to get used to it. Good luck!!

My car always has something wrong with it..what now?

Ok..I have a 96 pontiac firebird..v6, 3.4 cylinder. I've got a reading from the OBD-II still saying cylinder 1 misfire even after I've replaced alot of parts but my car will start, turn over and drive..it is a little rough though and stutters more when I slow down and come to a stop. I've replaced the fuel pump, the fuel filter, 2 of the O2 sensors, cleaned the fuel injectors and replaced the O rings, I've also replaced the ignition coils, the spark plugs and wires, the ignition module, and the air filter. I've also just had the compressor for my air conditioning replaced and of course the belt as well this past weekend. Although today I noticed a new issue, my car has a very sickening smell thats VERY strong, I dont know how else to describe it. but it only just happened today right after I put gas in my car, I noticed the smell on the way home. I already have had some piano experience, and I play the flute.I have always wanted to play the harp. Eheim canister filter?

I bought an Eheim 2215 canister filter for my 77 gallon tank and can't figure out how to get it working. When I try to prime it, it will not suck water from the tank into the filter. I have done everything according to the instructions...I think! I have even tried switching the suction hose and pressure hose connections, and turning off the taps on either hose. Nothing seems to work. Am I doing something wrong or is the filter defective?

Did you ASD/Autistic child haVe feeding problems?

My son is 24 months old and only eats Gerber baby food. Eating/chewing is really his only area that he is extremely developmentally delayed in. He has sensory problems and gagging and throwing up. He has caught up pretty well with therapy in most of his other global delays. He has a milk allergy and a soy intolerance, so right now I'm waiting to get Neocate for him, since he refuses Elecare vanilla. I am so frustrated because he hates eating and drinking in general, and won't even finger feed himself anything solid, except for Gerber puffs. He won't even eat pureed table foods. The most he eats is level 3 Gerber dinners and mashed potatoes, and all of the level 2 Gerber meats and fruits. He has been to feeding clinics that say that there is something medically wrong with him and that they cannot work with him until he feels good enough to eat. I agree, and he got an endoscopy and was found to have mild chronic gastritis. He is on Prevacid but still vomits for no reason. I am very worried because I was able to keep his weight up on a Soy pediasure kind of drink called Bright Beginnings which made up for the calories lacking in the baby food, but since he cannot tolerate soy I have to pray he will like one of the Neocate drinks. How can I start making progress with him? His GI doctor is of no help, and they think it's strictly behavioral. I think it may be part of the problem, but he also hasn't been feeling good for so long because of his food intolerances that I think he's afraid to eat and drink. Should I just do with some people say to do and just take away the baby food and make him eat and chew regular food? I'm afraid he would starve first. Please share if you have any experience. Will a helicopter search help find a lost dog?

My dog disappeared at Owens River Gorge near Bishop, CA. She is a black 40 lb dog, 17 years old and deaf. She gets around very well but she is more clumsy than she used to be and had a stroke a few months ago (that she recover from well). I have searched everywhere for her but can find no sign of her. The area where she was lost is mostly, flat arid land with lots of very low shrubs but no trees, with some cliffs and gullies. I'm worried that she may have fallen down a cliff in a place where I can't see her. I am thinking about hiring a helicopter to search for her, but not sure if that will be effective since she is black and blends in with the rocks and shadows in the landscape. Does anyone have experience with search and rescue using a helicopter? Any ideas for how to better search in this kind of terrain? (I have already done all the usual with posting flyers, newspapers and radio announcements, contacting shelters, etc). Thanks!

What is up with this crazy church I went to?

I am Christian, and I went to this one church today that claimed to be Christian. I was just curious, and wanted to see how it was in there. But when I first got in there, I got such a bad vibe. Just how it felt in there didn't feel right. Anyways, there were these women in a little circle on the floor. My friend told me that they wouldn't let them join their church, so I wanted to see if they were predjudice or something. As I was saying, I walked up to the women, and my mom made small talk. 5 weeks pregnant and have some questions?

I've asked a few questions prior but I still have a few more. I just found out I was pregnant after TTC for six months! I'm 5 weeks pregnant and due around August 17, 2009. This is my first pregnancy and I'm nervous but so happy! I had a question about exercising and being pregnant. I use to going to the gym 4-5 days a week and do 45 min of hard cardio. What should I be doing now? Should I just do moderate cardio on the treadmill or eliptical for 20 min or so? My doctor's appt is not until Jan 15 (they want to wait until I'm 8-19 weeks so they can do a sonogram). If anybody can help me with this please do! Thanks

5month old cries more than hes happy?

My 5month cries about 80% of the day. He did have colic and also acid reflux, he is taking medicine for that (for about a month and 1/2), it seemed to help. But the past few days hes been really fussy, he may be teething but teething rings and oragel dont seem to help ( so im thinking thats not it) we have been introducing foods but he has not had any adverse symptoms. My dog has a food allergy that causes yeast infections in her ears...?

well, she has been to the vet so no need for anyone to tell me to take her there. I now feed her purina pro plan for sensitive skin and stomach that's salmon based. We think she is allergic to any land dwellers because we tried chicken based food, lamb based food, beef based food and duck based food. The stuff she's on now works great. My question is: could we feed her cat food that is fish based? The reason I am asking is because the stuff she's on now is a bit expensive for us right now. Obviously she will get what she's on now regardless. I was just wondering if it would be ok to feed her the cat food.

How can I get over my fear of rapid heartbeat?

I suffer from panic attacks, and it's to the point where I can't do ANYTHING that causes my heart rate to go up. If it does, I will end up having a full blown panic attack because the symptoms feel similar to when I'm having an attack. I'm also afraid to eat or drink anything with sugar cause that can cause you heart rate to go up also. My main concern is how I'm afraid of rapid heartbeat. The reason I panic when my heart rate goes up due to running, lifting heavy things, or simply doing strenuous activities, is because I'm afraid of my already accelerated heart rate and the panic attack ontop of that to cause me to go into cardiac arrest or have a heart attack. I literally live my life trying not to do anything that will cause my heart rate to go up, and it's ruining me. Please help. And I don't want to take meds so there's no use in telling me to take some. And no use in telling me to work out either, cause that's the problem....

I feel so guilty, am I being too hard on myself or am I really a bad person?

I am a 14 year old male.I always feel guilty about things. For eg., i once slightly tore a page of a book in a library, and i felt guilty for a very long time, and i once felt guilty over accidently hitting a car door with my car door and I kept thinking that maybe i did it on purpose. Like the previous poster stated, the request is standard, especially for bank statements and tax returns. They want to see that nothing has changed. Letter of Decision from unemployment? Shouldn't I have gotten one?

I was laid off from my job in September of 2009 and filed for unemployment the same month. I have received 2 payments of my weekly amount ($404 a week), easily. Things started getting tricky though when I finally collected my severance...I got a Letter of Decision in the mail that stated I could not be paid for 1.8 weeks because of it. Which makes sense and I'm fine with. During the 1.8 weeks of unpaid UI, i also cashed in my 401k (stupid, I know). Now this is the really tricky part! I reported to cubline the week I recieved my 401k check. I called the customer service like cubline told me to...and she mailed out a form I had to fill out with a copy of my 401 check stub. So I did, and mailed it back. I mailed it back in the middle of Novemeber and reported my 401k for the last week of October. So it is December 9th now, and I haven't gotten ANYTHING. I was expecting another Letter of Decision, just like I did with my severance, that should say I am ineligable for UI benefits for 3 weeks (which is what it would be). But no, nothing. I called last week and they said they were going to make a decision on Friday, December 4th. But no, still nothing. Today I registered myself on coworkforce.com to review my claim and it says "pending approval". But it has been 6 weeks since I have gotten paid for anything! I believe they owe me at least 1 week at this point (severance was 1.8 weeks and 401 should be 3 weeks= 4.8 unpaid weeks). I am so confused and cannot even get on hold to talk to someone. Am I waiting for a Letter of Decision? are they going to pay me the 1 week they owe me? Or will they just add it in when I do my cubline next (which would be this coming sunday)? grr. I wanna cry lol. I am in CO btw.

My mom's doctor told her that it was possible to "will" away these little spots on her hand.. that she could visualize them going away and they would.. eventually a mosquito bit her hand and they went away.. but I was thinking.. say, for example, I have a receding hairline, and I intensly visualized my hair growing back, would it possibly work? I know this sounds crazy but our brain can't tell the difference between what it sees and what it visualizes so it has the same effect.. maybe me visualizing my hair growing back would cause something in my body to make it grow. He'll get used to it. Don't expect it to be an instant hit. He'll get hungry and eat it when that's all that's offered. Also, I worked at a veterinary clinic where they would add a splash of hot water to a scoop of canned dog food and mash it up to make a "gravy" in the bowl, then add the dry and mix it up together.

Headers ALOT louder??

Would putting shorty headers and dual exhaust on my 76' 350 nova make it sound a lot louder to the point where it would be hard to have a convo in my car while on the freeway? My husband's mother came to visit, and to make a long story short, she's not the best mother on the planet. She wanted to take the baby out of his carseat on the freeway because he was crying (thought the seat was unnecessary), she was mad becuase I wouldn't let her give him beans (he just turned 6 months old) & she said that I was way too overprotective and spoiling him (much more happened over a period of 3 days). Do the characters look or feel real in the novel 1984 by George Orwell?

To a certain extent he captures the despair of the people and that seems real, although it is hard to imagine a world where all people would follow so mindlessly and where a speech can be made where the enemy changes in the middle of that speech and the audience just go along with it. So some situations of control used in the book and the people depicted can mirror our own lives but for the people to live in such dreary servitude without question just seems a bit too far to imagine. I know many who do question just disappear only to return completely changed and then usually publicly dealt with for crimes that have been fabricated, but who in this day and age will not stand up for themselves. Basically very few.

My new kitten is terrifying my Mtif!?

Yes I know this sounds very funny and I must admitt it can be humurous. But its getting to be a big problem. I have a 6 year old English Mtiff named Duke and we just brought home an 8 weeks old kitten 3 days ago his name is London. The kitten is a mix breed nothing fancy. My dog has been around cats before and when he was young he was terrified of them. Litterally would pee at the mear glimps of a cat. Now he is 120 lbs and really wants to be friends with the new addition. The problem is London had never seen a dog before we brought him home. We kept him in the spare room the first day and when he started to feel comfortable we would let him out to roam while Duke was outside. Then we put a baby gate in the door way of the spare room where London was and let Duke sniff him out. The first time London saw Duke he was sitting on my lap. He flipped out so bad I am letterally covered in band aids. This and Duke was in another room and 15 feet away. Now London has figured out that Duke is afraid of him and he chases Duke all over the house. Now my Duke is big and clumsy and wouldn't hurt a flea. I can't allow him to be terrorized! This is his home, but I want London to stay too. Does anyone know what I can do? I don't know how to train a natural response out of a kitten. I mean its not like I can punish him for hissing and spitting. So should I do anything when the cat freaks out? Or should I just praise the good?

A friend of mine got into a huge fight with her psychotic deranged ex, who is also her 6 year old's father. After she kicked him out of her house she was very emotional and was questioning her kid but was also yelling (she did not threaten, swear at, insult, or belittle the child), all she was doing was asking her what she said to him, but because of the emotions of the situation she was yelling. During this time her ex was standing outside audio taping her with his phone and is now threatening her with it by saying he will play it to the authorities. Whether or not he actually has anything on the tape is unknown, it could be inaudible, or just a bluff, but she is very scared that child services could take her daughter away. She is a very good mother who has made tremendous sacrifices in life for her daughter, and would not harm her in any way at all. Does anybody have any insight into the legalities of this or what processes has to happen before a child is taken away from it's parent. She is very scared, can anybody please help. Thank you!

I recently tried having a heartfelt conversation with my girlfriend about something she does that bothers me (telling other guys she loves them). I recently had to move so I also tried telling her that I wanna interact with her through more than just texts (phone calls, webcam, etc.) because I really miss her voice and the fun conversations we had. Texting, to me, is okay but after many days of nothing but texting, it gets dull. She got really defensive and sarcastic, like always, saying she doesn't like talking over the phone cause she's always busy or with friends and that she can't promise a webcam date because stuff always comes up. I managed to keep my cool but after an insanely sarcastic comment, I got irritated and said that whenever I try to have a heartfelt conversation with her, she gets pissy. I then said I felt like, just as she had felt a while back, that I couldn't be myself with her due to this. Well... She got pissy when I called her pissy, and said "f*** you, I'm done with this petty s***." I apologised for calling her pissy but not for telling her how I feel. She responded with "okay." I said good night cause I knew space would be good for us. This always happens. She'll try to say I'm changing her when that's hardly the case or she's just being herself. All I'm trying to do is get her to maybe make more tine for us, like I always do. I compromise, she doesn't. I feel like if she truly valued this relationship, she'd wanna put in her share of it.
