I dated this boy and he cheated on me. Why do i still have feelings for him,what should i do?

OK. so there's this boi and he cheated on me. =(! i don't know why i still have feelings for him. EVERYONE around me is telling me ohh no. why do you even talk to him and give him the time of day. i understand compleatly wear there coming from BUT, i FEEl like me and him will date again someday and i KNOW people *change*. i honestly don't know what to do. i mean homecoming is coming up and idk if i should ask him to it.. it's been about 4 months sence we broke up..
