Switching from Active to Reserve - Marines

All that you need to do is sit down with your recruiter and tell him that you want to switch out of active into reserves. It will take some paperwork on his part, but it can be done without you having to discharge from the DEP. If he tries to be difficult then talk to the head of the recruiting station and get it settled. Your recruiter is there to work with you and work for you... If you don't want to go active speak up and get your contract changed.
