All you history fans, help please!?

For my American History cl we have to have a lifetime timeline, I know it sounds weird, but i'll explain. For every year that you're alive, you have to do a major event of history. All history, and i'll give you an example: 9/11 could count as one for 2001. I can have 1 entertainment- as in someone winning a grammy for a movie or song or whatever.. and one can be sports like steelers winning the superbowl? (: && It has to be up to 2010. Thankyou!
