Teaching my friend to drive standard, will he wreck my clutch?

My honda 1990 civic is all i got, if it goes my pay cheque goes ( i need it to drive 44km to work everyday) it works good and stuff. My friend has his license but he doesn't know how a manual works, he has a job tommorow ( and its a truck driving job !!!!), its his first day, he was born for the job cause it involves composting, and hes trying to open a business on composting. I told him i'd givve him a basic lesson on how to drive a clutch, but again, if the clutch goes my pay cheque goes!
