He's confided in another female & not his wife...and she's single! He thinks it's okay & doesn't see my worry!

I have been married over a year, but been together (off & on) the past 7 years. He is in the military, and was gone for a year. We've recently moved & he's been distant with no communication at all. I figured it was because of the separation. I've gotten nosey & basically he texted/called (unsure about more) a single female from his battalion. I checked out & found all about her. I called her &confronted her, she says only friends. I mentioned going to the command if it was more. After days of not talking to me he finally spoke the day after I called. He says he loves me & wants to be with me. He claims to not be cheating nor has he ever. I'm a SAHM & take care of everything at home/bills too. I have always been very attentive to his needs/wants/desires. No complaints from him. I just don't know why he'd talk to another female about our problems & talk about about (which he admitted) & tell me he flirted. He thought saying she was a (shes not) would have made it ok. HELP
